Biography
Teri Swan Merliss is a professional singer/guitar player and has been a children's entertainer, teacher and administrator for over 20 years. She is the music specialist at The Children’s House, a Montessori pre-school in Verona, New Jersey and The Art Farm in New York City. Teri also performs and teaches in many pre-schools and libraries in the tri-state area on a regular basis.
Teri founded Sneakers-the Music Company for Kids and Simply Elementary from 1988-2007 producing inspiring arts in education programing for young children, ages 5-12 years of age in the public school systems. She currently produces a 5 human values music based arts in education program for 5th grade students.
She is mother to daughter Eva, who is a nursing student at Rutgers University and wife of Richard Mendelson, a nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
